Dutch clubs have produced a lot of talented players in recent years. Their academy system has allowed the teams to produce young talents, and these players often get into the first team. One such player who made it to the first team and won the league with his team is Feyenoord’s left-back Quilindschy Hartman.
The 21-year-old made it to the first team in the 2022–23 season and is now a regular on the side. He has an attacking mindset and tasted Eredivisie success in just his first season with the first team. Let’s take a look at whether this academy graduate can lead Feyenoord to back-to-back league success.
In his first season with the first team, Hartman made 34 appearances in all competitions and started in 30 games. He scored a couple of goals and created five others for his teammates. This season, the player has featured in 10 games and started each of them.

Ball recovery is one of the biggest assets that Quilindschy Hartman has in his game. He recovers the ball nearly 10 times per 90 minutes and around four of them come in the attacking half. Most of these are counter-pressing recoveries.
Attacking threat
The full-back is a great dribbler of the ball and likes to contribute to the attack. In the two seasons at the club, Hartman has averaged just above one progressive run per match. He succeeds nearly 60% while attempting dribbles and often gets into crossing positions to create a chance or two. Averaging nearly three crosses per 90 minutes, Hartman has an accuracy rate of around 32-33%.
These forward runs made by the full-back have added five assists to the name of the 21-year-old. Hartman averages nearly three passes to the opposition penalty box and half of them find a teammate. These passes often land on the top of the six-yard box and five times a teammate has converted these chances.
Quilindschy Hartman is still in his early days at the senior level. His dream debut season is followed by a decent start to the 2023-24 campaign. The player will look to raise his level and win another title for Feyenoord.
