It’s the usual two customers fighting it out in the Eredivisie again. PSV and Ajax are the two teams of the Netherland who are always at each other’s throats.
Yet, PSV Eindhoven last won the Eredivisie title in the 17/18 season and would be aching to be called champions of the Netherlands again. Their next hurdle in that process is Heracles, with whom they are set to play on their home turf.
Before matchday 25, Ajax finds themselves top of the table but by only 2 points. Right on their heels and waiting for a slip-up is Eindhoven!
The best-case scenario for PSV fans would be to see their team emerge victorious against 11th placed Heracles and then a couple of hours later when Ajax plays, they should drop points.
With only 10 more matches till the end of the season, and only 2 points separating the great clubs, every game is vital and every point counts.

PSV has only lost to Heracles once in their 34 meetings (W28 & D5). Heracle’s only victory came in September of 2015 when they won 2-1 on their home ground.
Heracles have only won the Eredivisie on a couple of occasions. Once in the 1926/27 season and then again in the 1940/41 season amidst World War 2. They have also won the Eerste Divisie (2nd division) twice, in the 1984/85 season and 2004/05 season.
Prediction:
Looking at the history, PSV should be winning this one clearly. But recent form suggests that these two teams might go head to toe.
Heracles is coming in after winning 4 games in a row, and without a doubt, their confidence will be high.
PSV on the other hand simply has to win if they want to stay within reach of Ajax.
This game promises to be a cracker and just because Eindhoven is playing at home, the odds will be slightly in their favor!
